Over the weekend I had to cover the first St. Louis Downtown Idiotarod, a unconventional take-off of the Alaskan race where people replace dogs and shopping carts replace sleds. 26 teams of five showed up and the craziness ensues after the start of the race. Surprisingly I managed to keep up with the teams and reached all the checkpoints. I was more focused on getting quotes and taking notes but it was too tempting not to take photos. Here are some from the day.
BTW, I don’t know why but this is probably the best noon light I’ve ever shot. The lighting was amazing!
